All tourists travelling to Bhutan require a visa (excluding Indian, Bangladeshi and Maldivian passport holders). Visa's are only issued to tourists who booked tour packages with a licensed Bhutanese tour operator, directly or through a foreign travel agent.
We will be your representative for the visa application process, and the application fee is US$40. We will require a copy of the photo page of your passport, together with your country of residence and city information. Please ensure that your passport has the validity of at least 6 months from the day you exit Bhutan and two blank pages to issue the visa. You will also need to have blank pages in your passport for any country you are visiting en route.
After receiving your passport copy and information, we will apply for your visa when your full payment has been obtained in Bhutan. The visa clearance will be processed within 5 days working by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB). After that, a copy of the authorized visa confirmation will be sent to you for presenting to Druk Air or Bhutan Airlines for flight check-in and at the airport. The actual visa will be stamped in your passport on arrival. Please make sure you have a copy of the clearance letter at the airport or you will be denied the right for boarding to Paro. If you travel Bhutan by road, the process will be the same with the actual visa be stamped at Phuntsholing or Gelephu or Samdrup Jongkhar.
